vs Free Alternatives
How is this different from Khan Academy?
Khan Academy has great content — and it's free. The difference is what happens AFTER you answer. Khan shows the right answer. We diagnose WHY you picked the wrong one, warn you about patterns you've repeated, and adjust the next question to your exact level. The longer you use it, the better it gets at predicting where you'll struggle. Free tools can't do that because they don't remember anything about you.
Why should I pay when SAT content is free?
Every SAT question ever written is available for $0. Yet the average score is still 1050. Content isn't the bottleneck — knowing what to practice is. Most students waste half their study time on stuff they already know. We target the exact gaps holding your score back, tell you WHY you get things wrong, and get smarter every session. That's what you're paying for.
What is Error DNA?
Every wrong answer is automatically diagnosed to find the root cause — not just that you got it wrong, but WHY. Over time, this builds a profile of your mistake patterns. We use this to target practice at the root cause and warn you when you're about to repeat a pattern.
What is Module 1→2 Routing?
The Digital SAT is adaptive — your performance on Module 1 determines whether you get the harder or easier Module 2, which sets your score ceiling. Hard Module 2 → up to 800. Easy Module 2 → capped around 650. We're the only platform that trains specifically for this routing decision.
What happens to my data if I stop using SAT Mastery?
Your data stays here and keeps working for you. Come back anytime and pick up exactly where you left off — your mistake patterns, progress, and study history are all saved.
How do you prove that personalized practice is better than random practice?
After every session, we show you the receipts: how many questions targeted your weak spots, what mistake patterns were caught, and how much more efficient the session was vs random practice. Most students study 2-3x more efficiently than with random practice.
Getting Started
How does SAT Mastery OS work?
You start with a diagnostic assessment that maps your skills across all SAT domains. Based on your results, target score, and test date, we create a personalized study plan. Each day you get practice sessions with questions selected specifically for your level and needs.
How long does the diagnostic take?
The full diagnostic takes about 30 minutes. It uses targeted testing to efficiently assess your skills across Reading, Writing, and Math with fewer questions than a traditional test.
Do I need to download anything?
No, SAT Mastery OS is entirely web-based. You can access it from any device with a modern browser—computer, tablet, or phone.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes, the platform is fully responsive. However, for the best experience during practice sessions (especially Math), we recommend using a computer or tablet.

How many practice questions are available?
We have over 10,000 practice questions covering every SAT topic across Reading, Writing, and Math. Questions range from easy to hard and are tagged with detailed skill information.

What are the different session modes?
We offer 9 session modes: BUILD (learning with hints), PROVE (test simulation), SPEED (pacing drills), STAMINA (endurance training), STRESS (high-pressure practice), DIAGNOSTIC (skill assessment), FULL TEST (complete SAT simulation), BOOST (targeted weakness practice), and MIXED (varied practice). Each serves a different phase of preparation.
What are Proof Cards?
Proof Cards are shareable badges you earn when you demonstrate mastery of a specific skill in PROVE mode. You can share them on social media or include them in college applications.
What is Battle Mode?
Battle Mode lets you compete head-to-head against friends. You both answer the same questions and see scores update in real-time. It's available on the Premium plan.
What is the AI Tutor?
An AI tutor that remembers your entire learning history. It knows your mistake patterns, how fast you're improving, and what works best for you — and uses all of that to give you smarter advice every session.
What are Trap Reports?
Trap Reports identify the exact error patterns costing you SAT points. Each trap shows severity, how many times you've been caught, point impact, and a remediation plan with targeted practice questions.
What is Expert Mode?
Expert Mode serves only 99th percentile difficulty questions. It's for advanced students scoring 1450+ who need to master the hardest content. Available on Premium and Elite plans.
Can I skip or replace a question during a session?
Yes. Click "Different Question" to swap any question for a different one at the same skill and difficulty level. No penalty, no disruption to your session flow.
